Looking for 5+years DB2 Consultant

Location : Bangalore

DB2 Admin/ Migration Activities:

· Plan and drive DB2 Installations/ Upgrades/ Skip level upgrades, Fix Pack Installations
· Handle database capacity planning, performance tuning and backup and recovery plan to ensure availability of database services
· Expertise in HADR Setup/ High Availability Setup , cluster configuration on HP-UX using Service Guard
· Familiar with best practices and principles of database management, security, accesses and regulations

DB2 Performance Tuning:

Advanced knowledge base of relational database performance and tuning such as: proper use of indexes, database statistics/reorgs, de-normalization concepts, memory management, database configurations, etc. And proven experience in DB2 DB bottleneck analysis, outage prevention/resolution, advance server/database performance improvements and troubleshooting
  • Tuning using db2batch, db2advis and db2explain tools
  • Database Monitoring & Database I/O Tuning
  • Table space and Table Design for Performance
  • Application Performance Considerations
  • Using Indexes for Performance

Documentation:

· Prepare SOPs
· Prepare Test case documents
· Review RFPs
· Prepare SOWs, HLPs, Project Effort Estimations
